About the Farm Factory. Farm has been selected to exhibit at the Design Museum London in January 2010 as part of the Designers in Residence programme. The 5 week long project aims to strengthen the relationship between British manufacturing and the UK’s emerging design talent, creating new products, new markets and new networks. This project will provide a platform in which to exchange ideas and knowledge to promote British manufacturing. The centrepiece of the exhibition will be a collection of new pieces inspired by the history, techniques and expertise of participating manufacturing companies. As the project develops, key stages will be documented at the Design Museum, building the profile of the companies and increasing the understanding of the production process and capability. |
